Making your School mornings better

My name is Lorre Haseloff. I have been employed with Farwell ISD for 16 years now.  This will be my 4th year as the District Counselor.

I graduated High School from a private school in nearby Lazbuddie, Texas, earned my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Baylor University (Sic 'em Bears) and received my Master's Degree in School Counseling from West Texas A&M University. I have taught in a few other districts in Texas including Meadow ISD and Tahoka ISD.  I helped to begin a local Pre-school and taught there for 3 years as well.

I married a Farwell native who graduated from Texas Tech University.  Darren started out as a teacher and a coach but has been a proud farmer in this area for the past 25 years.  We have 3 children.  Cambree recently graduated from Tarleton State University with an Ag Business degree and lives with her husband, Cameron, in Stephenville, Texas.  Kylie is a Junior at Texas Tech University, majoring in Ag Communications and minoring in Interior Design. Garrison is a Senior here at FHS.  He manages the varsity football and basketball teams, plays golf and is involved in track. He is an active member and officer in our local FFA chapter.

I am blessed to live in such a great and supportive community and I am so excited to serve as the Counselor for such a great district!

Mrs. Joyce gives the best high fives by Erainna Winnet is a great book to explain what a counselor does and how they can help kids!

The Recess Queen by Alexis O'Neill is a great book to read when talking about bullying and being unkind to others on the playground.

The Invisible Boy by Trudy Ludwig  shows how small acts of kindness can help quiet, shy kids feel included and important and help them build confidence in themselves.
