I have lived my life right here in the border towns of Texico & Farwell. I actually lived the first years of my life right here in Farwell. I was raised across the tracks in Texico where I graduated in 2006. I love the small town life and the community spirit that bonds us together! I have always loved school and have been in school all my life! I started my college education at Eastern New Mexico University in 2006 where I got my degree in Elementary Education in 2010! While I was pursuing my education, I started my education career at Texico Elementary my old stomping ground where I was an educational assistant for the first grade for over 4 years. Then, I landed my first teaching job at Parkview Elementary in Clovis where I taught first grade for two years. I have taught 5th Grade Reading here in Farwell for 3 years. This year, I will begin a new adventure in first grade! I'm excited to be back in first and teach the foundation of reading!

I also received my Master's Degree in 2012 from Eastern New Mexico University with a degree in Pedagogy & Learning with an emphasis in reading! I also have a TESOL & ESL endorsement.

Here's a look into my family! I met my husband, Michael,  in high school in 2004. He grew up right here in Farwell and I was a Texico gal, so yes we were potential enemies but fell in love instead. We married in 2009 and have had many wonderful moments in our lives that we have shared together. The best moments have  been our children. We have two children. Adaline Rose is 4 years old and is in pre-school.  She is a fun mess and can't imagine our lives without this blonde hair, blue eyed, giggling rascal! Witten just turned one! He is a sweet and active big boy! He loves to smile and eat!

Here's a bit of information on just me! As you might have guessed I love reading and books. My favorite hobby is shopping! I love clothes, shoes, purses, anything girly! I also enjoy cooking, baking, crafting and decorating my little home or my lovely reading classroom. I love going to the movies, out to eat, and family time!

I am honored to be here at Farwell! I love the community and the students that are here. I am dedicated to this school, community and town. I work very hard and have high expectations for my students. I am not only building successful students but a community of learners who are responsible, respectful and caring!

Here is our schedule that we will follow-
