A little bit about ME!!!!

I grew up in Sundown, Texas.   I have been married to Doug Barnes for 26 years and we have three beautiful daughters Chandler, Kenlea, & Karson....AND this year we were blessed with a GRADSON (Beckham Rive)  My family made the decision to move our family to Farwell Schools in 2006, where I began teaching in 2007.

I attended South Plains College and received an Associate's of Science Degree.  I then took a break from school became a stay at home Mom until I decided to go back to West Texas A&M and received my teaching degree.

This will be my 13th year to teach at Farwell Schools.  I enjoyed teaching 3rd grade for 9 years, moved to 2nd grade, and must say I LOVE 2nd Grade!!!!  I am looking forward to a great year with Ms. Hardisty and Mrs. Morris.

Moving our family to Farwell has been a blessing....Caring Community, Great Kids, Friendly Folks!!!!  I am blessed to be a part of the Farwell teaching staf

Farwell ISD's mission is to provide quality instruction to all students so they will develop into responsible, adaptable, contributing citizens with caring attitudes. The district is responsible for helping all students achieve their fullest potential since all students can learn. With this in mind, an objective-based curriculum continuum is utilized at all levels. It will include the facility for ongoing evaluation and change in order to meet the evolving needs of students.
